Yesterday my production server started displaying the following error message across all sites and sub-sites:
ErrorWeb Part Error: One of the properties of the Web Part has an incorrect format. Windows SharePoint Services cannot deserialize the Web Part. Check the format of the properties and try again.
Looking in the event viewer I see a nice little message
